For each destination, we have selected only extraordinary hotels, which are not necessarily the most expensive or best-known.
Depending on the season and the amount of time you have, here are a few suggestions:
- Extensions of a few days to destinations not too far from Rio or São Paulo. Brazil is as big as a continent and we recommend firstly some favourite locations that do not require a long plane trip:
- Minas Gerais (4 nights in a splendid colonial house - Tiradentes, São João del Rey, Congonhas) See pictures
- Pantanal (3 nights in a fazenda from the early 1900, animal safari, horse riding)
- Iguaçu Falls (1 night)
- Heli-ski in Chile from June to September, southern winter (with a stop in an old 1860's Argentine hacienda).
- Beach/riding combination: beach in Picinguaba + riding holiday in the Argentinean Patagonia, from October to May (southern summer), in a traditional 6000-hectare estancia. Trout fishing is also available. Includes 2 nights in Buenos Aires.
- Amazonian cruise on a private yacht: ideal for a family or a small group of friends.
