Arrival to Picinguaba

Cars can be rented from the airport. If you are unfamiliar with the region and don't speak Portuguese, we encourage extreme caution - avoid traveling at night, obey speed limits and know your route well. Road signage is limited and roads can be hazardous. You do not need a car when you are at the Pousada, so we encourage you to come via bus or private transfer instead. We can organize a private plane or helicopter from Rio de Janeiro upon request. The arrival airport is Paraty, and from there, a taxi to Picinguaba will be arranged (cost: about BRL 90,00). For air travel from São Paulo and for more information, please contact us. |

Access to the Pousada
Access to the Pousada is by foot for the last 250 meters. You need to cross the entire beach and go uphill on the other side. If you are coming on your own, please call ahead of time so we can arrange for someone to meet you and carry your bags. Our telephone number is + 55 (12) 3836 9015.
Transportation during your stay
For most of the activities you do not need your own vehicle. Some excursions are on foot, others by boat and all guided tours provide transport. The Pousada can also provide a chauffeured vehicle or book a taxi for you.
